Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to anyone submitting an inquiry, booking a trek, or otherwise using this website. Booking a trek with Nepal Travel Packages Pvt. Ltd. constitutes acceptance of these terms alongside our cancellation and refund policy.

What we provide

We arrange licensed-guide trekking, climbing, and wellness itineraries in Nepal as described on each trip page: permits, guide and porter services, teahouse or retreat accommodation, and the inclusions listed on that trip's cost breakdown and inclusions table. Anything not listed as included on a trip page is the traveller's responsibility, most commonly travel insurance, visa fees, personal gear, and tips.

How a booking is made

A booking exists once we have confirmed your departure in writing and received the deposit. Until both have happened, a quote is an offer and nothing is held. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote itself says otherwise, because permit fees and internal flight prices move.

We will confirm in writing what your price includes, which departure date it applies to, and what remains outstanding. If anything in that confirmation does not match what you expected, tell us before paying the balance rather than after.

Prices and payment

Prices are quoted per person in US dollars unless agreed otherwise, and are based on the group size stated in your quote. If the group size changes, the per-person price changes with it, because the guide's day rate splits across the group while permits and accommodation do not.

The balance is due before departure, on the date stated in your booking confirmation. Bank transfer charges, card processing fees, and currency conversion costs are the traveller's responsibility unless we have agreed to absorb them in writing. We may adjust a quoted price before you pay the balance only if a government fee, park charge, or domestic airfare changes; in that case we show you the change and its source, and you may cancel without penalty if you do not accept it.

Health, fitness, and altitude

Trekking and climbing in Nepal involve real physical demands and altitude-related health risks. By booking, you confirm you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions to us and that you accept the inherent risks of high-altitude travel described in our safety protocols and altitude sickness prevention guide. Our guides retain final authority to alter an itinerary or require a client's descent for safety reasons, and that decision is not subject to dispute during the trek.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance with cover appropriate to your route's maximum altitude, including helicopter evacuation, is a condition of booking any trip above 4,000 m and is strongly recommended for every trip on this site. We are not responsible for costs arising from inadequate insurance cover. See the helicopter evacuation insurance coverage guide for what to check before you buy a policy.

Permits and documentation

We handle permit applications as described on each trip and region page. You are responsible for holding a valid passport with at least six months' validity, obtaining your Nepal visa, and providing accurate personal details in time for permit processing. Delays caused by incomplete or late documentation are the traveller's responsibility.

Changes and force majeure

Itineraries may change due to weather, flight cancellations, permit or government-policy changes, natural events, or other circumstances outside our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you and adjust the itinerary, but we are not liable for costs arising from such changes beyond arranging a reasonable alternative where possible.

Your conduct on a trip

Trekking parties depend on each other, and a guide's instructions on the trail are given for safety rather than convenience. We may end a client's participation without refund if their behaviour puts other travellers, our staff, or local communities at serious risk, or if they refuse a safety instruction such as a required descent. This is a last resort and has to be justified afterwards in writing; it is not a way of removing someone we find difficult.

Illegal drug use, and behaviour that damages a religious or cultural site, fall under the same clause. Costs of leaving a trek early in those circumstances, including transport and accommodation, are the traveller's own.

Photography

Our guides take photographs on the trail, and we may use images that include you in marketing without a separate fee. If you would rather not appear, tell your guide or write to hello@nepaltravelpackages.com at any point, including after the trip, and we will stop using them. We do not sell client photographs to third parties.

Complaints

Raise a problem with your guide while you are still on the trip, because most issues can be fixed on the spot and almost none can be fixed after you fly home. If that does not resolve it, or the complaint concerns the booking rather than the trek, write to hello@nepaltravelpackages.com with your departure date.

We acknowledge written complaints within three working days and aim to respond in full within fourteen. If our response does not satisfy you, you may escalate to the Nepal Tourism Board or the Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal, both of which handle disputes involving registered operators. Nothing in these terms removes a right you hold under the law of your own country.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Nepali law, Nepal Travel Packages Pvt. Ltd.'s liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount paid for that trip. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed connections or events outside our direct control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute arising from a booking is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.

Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published on the day you booked. We may update this page for future bookings, and the date below records when that last happened. We will not change the terms of a confirmed booking after the fact without your agreement.

If part of these terms does not hold

If any clause here is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. An unenforceable clause is treated as removed rather than invalidating the agreement as a whole.
