Why this site reads differently
Most trekking pages are assembled by marketers working from a spreadsheet. Ours are not. A route goes on this site once the guide leading it has written the days out, checked the permit costs against the current rate, and put their licence number at the bottom.
That is slower, and it is the reason the numbers here hold up when you compare them against any other operator.
Each itinerary is written by the guide who runs it, under their own name and licence number.
Permit fees, park charges, and what sits outside the price are listed on every route page before you ask.
Conditions get rewritten in season, so what you read matches what the trail is actually doing.

Monsoon cloud sits on the Mardi ridge most days with wet forest below Low Camp. The route is walkable but views are unreliable, and the dry ridge means fewer leeches than the valley routes. We schedule departures for the drier windows. Next scheduled departure: early October.
Monsoon rain is falling daily below Dole and the Phakding to Monjo section is leech-active. The lakes are ice-free and at their summer color, but afternoon cloud has covered Cho Oyu by 11 am on most days this fortnight. Two Gokyo lodges remain open through the low season; the Ngozumpa crossing cairns will be re-set in late September as usual. Next scheduled departure: October 4.
Monsoon rain is falling daily below Tengboche and the trail is leech-active between Phakding and Monjo. Lukla flights reverted from Ramechhap to Kathmandu for the low season and are averaging one weather delay day per week. High route sections above Dingboche remain dry by afternoon. Next scheduled departure: late September.
