Most trekking pages are assembled by marketers working from a spreadsheet. Ours are not. A route goes on this site once the guide leading it has written the days out, checked the permit costs against the current rate, and put their licence number at the bottom.

That is slower, and it is the reason the numbers here hold up when you compare them against any other operator.

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Monsoon closure: Budhi Gandaki gorge landslide-active

Monsoon rain has made the gorge trail between Machha Khola and Jagat landslide-active, with two sections rerouted onto temporary paths as of late June. We run no Manaslu departures until the third week of September, and the Department of Immigration permit desk confirms the winter rate of USD 75/week applies through August for anyone considering an early shoulder-season entry. Dharamsala lodges reopen mid-September.

Langtang Valley Trek

Monsoon status: valley green, drive road slippery

Monsoon rain is falling in the valley with leeches in the lower forest to Lama Hotel. The Syabrubesi road can be slow after heavy rain with occasional small slides cleared quickly. We schedule departures for the drier windows. Next scheduled departure: early October.

Monsoon rain is falling daily on the foothills with leeches active below Ghorepani. Poon Hill can still deliver a clear dawn between systems, and a few trekkers run it in monsoon, but we schedule departures for the drier windows. Next scheduled departure: early October.
