Kanchenjunga Trekking Packages

Kanchenjunga is a restricted trekking region in far-eastern Nepal circling the 8,586 m Kanchenjunga, the world's third-highest mountain, reached by a multi-day approach with almost none of the crowds found on Everest or Annapurna trails. Its restricted-area permit costs USD 20 per week and requires a licensed guide booked through a registered agency, no second trekker needed since a March 2026 rule change, and it's the lightest restricted-permit fee of any Nepal region. The Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek is a 17-day single-side itinerary to Pangpema at USD 2,300-2,900, and the Kanchenjunga Circuit covers both North and South Base Camps over 22 days at USD 2,800-3,500, crossing Lapsang La and Sinion La between them.

One restricted-area filing covers both base camps, so the circuit carries no permit penalty over the shorter route; the price difference is days, crew, and food.
